Bass & Blue Fishing Tournament
PLYMOUTH — The seventh annual Bass & Blue Fishing Tournament, sponsored by Entergy, will be held July 12-15.
The weekend will begin with the Captains & Crew Kickoff event and dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. July 12 at Cordage Park Marina. This event is open to the public. Attendees can enjoy a dinner by Alden Park Bar & Grill, enter to win prizes at the raffle and place a bid to win the grand prize at the live auction: a fishing trip with special guest speaker Trey Zoeller, courtesy of Fire Escape Charters. Host for the evening will be Rob Hakala, of The South Shore’s Morning News on 95.9 WATD.
The Bass & Blue Fishing Tournament will take place July 14-15. The grand prize is $1,000 for the largest bass and $300 for the largest bluefish, with gift certificate prizes and trophies for the top three youths, 16 and younger. There is also a $1,000 grand prize for the team that catches the largest bass. Attendees can also win a $500 gift certificate for fishing gear at the awards ceremony raffle, courtesy of Merrill Engineers & Land Surveyors. Every tournament participant who weighs in a fish will receive a numbered ticket, one per angler. The winning ticket will be drawn at the Awards Ceremony starting at 5 p.m. July 15. Must be present at ceremony to win. Meet WATD’s Captain Lou, who will be broadcasting live from the ceremony.
