Plymouth 400 Commemoration Opening Ceremony

The indoor portion of the Opening Ceremony will take place at Memorial Hall from noon-1:30PM and will feature speakers, dignitaries, military demonstrations, and live performances. This is a ticketed event and limited seats will be available for advanced purchase. The one and a half hour event will feature historical content, music by the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra and a Plymouth student chorus, visual narratives, spoken perspectives from Wampanoag leaders, and national and international dignitaries to create a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle.

Official Maritime Salute to the 400th Anniversary
June 27-28, 2020
The Official Maritime Salute pays tribute to the Pilgrims’ journey on board the Mayflower from Plymouth, England, to the site of Plymouth Colony in the new world. A regatta of wooden ships, yachts, workboats, official vessels, and pleasure craft will culminate in a traditional New England lobster dinner at Nelson Park on the waterfront. Military fanfare and maritime programming will be part of the day’s festivities.

This grand multicultural arts festival will honor the traditions, cuisine, and music of not only the settlers and Wampanoag people but of the diverse immigrants who followed and contributed to the fabric of American life. Invited dignitaries will include heads of state, celebrities, and students from around the world. The event will take place at the Plymouth Municipal Airport, 246 South Meadow Road in Plymouth.
