Plymouth 400 Inc. is auctioning off 109 special Plymouth 400 license plates with the most desired numbers.
Darius Coombs, director of Wampanoag and Eastern Woodlands Research and Interpretive training at Plimouth Plantation, holds the number 9 license plate for the Plymouth 400 auction.
Plymouth 400 Inc., the nonprofit organization planning Plymouth’s 400th anniversary celebration in 2020, is auctioning off 109 special Plymouth 400 license plates with the most desired numbers, such as numbers 1 and 1620.
You can see the plates and bid online at http://www.liveauctioneers.com/catalog_gallery/102800 or www.myplymouthplate.org, where you can sign up for updates that notify you if someone else bids on your desired plate. You can also visit myplymouthplate.org where you will find a link to the auction site.
“Anyone can log onto the live auction, and, on Saturday, June 3, we host a live auction event when the auctioneer is at the front of the room and we’ll go through all 109 lots,” Plymouth 400 Inc. Communications Manager Sheila Fey said.
Josh Rioux, of J. James Auctioneers, will conduct the auction.
You can attend the live auction, which will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at the New England Historic Genealogical Society, 99 Newbury St. Boston. Register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/plymouth-400-license-plate-live-auction-tickets-33084127516.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit Plymouth’s 400th anniversary celebration in 2020.
