Weekend Activity Guide

The Official Website of the
Plymouth 400
Commemoration

It’s almost time for the kids to go back to school! Enjoy one of the last weekends of summer with one of these activities. Here’s our top picks for family-friendly activities in the Plymouth area on August 23-24:
Eat, shop, and play at the Downtown Plymouth Waterfront Festival
You don’t want to miss this year’s Waterfront Festival in downtown Plymouth! On Saturday, August 23 from 10:30AM-7:00PM, you’ll find over 250 craft and vendors, 30 food trucks, the 9th annual Motor Head’s Cruise-In Car Show, the Ducky Dash Race, games, and live entertainment. So many activities!
Lace up your running shoes and Run for Faith
The fourth annual Run for Faith, part of the Bayside Runner Racing Series, will be held Sunday, August 24 at 8:30AM. The 4.7-mile course begins and ends at Plimoth Plantation, and offers views of pastoral Chiltonville and Plymouth Bay. The race raises funds for high school scholarships, children’s books for the Plymouth Public Libraries and elementary schools, and ovarian cancer research and awareness.
Visit your favorite spot in Plymouth and snap a photo for the #IHeartPlymouthMA photo contest
Plymouth 400 is hosting an Instagram contest to find the prettiest view of America’s Hometown. Post a photo of your favorite spot on Instagram, tag @Plymouth_400 in the photo, and use the hashtags #Plymouth400 and #IHeartPlymouthMA. We’ll pick our favorites on September 16 and the winner will receive a free Plymouth commemorative license plate!
Get into the rhythm at the 19th Annual North River Blues Festival
On Sunday, August 24 from 12:00PM-9:00PM at the Marshfield Fair, you’ll find bands from across the country getting bluesy. Hear Kansas City’s Trampled Under Foot, Sugar Ray & the Bluetones, and tons of other local favorites.
